Fantastic worlds of our Minds

Most of us are not aware of our mind and how it works? Fantastic worlds of our minds are more beautiful than our imagination and more complex than the whole universe. It is a small universe of its own and has its mysteries, opens on those who try to discover it. Let’s talk about the mind, how it works, what it is all about. How it thinks, and how can one train it?

The mind is a logical and thinking mechanics of a human being. It processes anything logical and concludes something out of it. It is fluid. When nothing is given to it, it starts processing the unfinished tasks and thinking junks to figure something. So that those finished and complete files are arranged in their designated folders. It works continuously without any rest.

The more you use it, the more it expands; the less you use it, the less it expands. By nature, it is growth-oriented; it wants a daily dose; otherwise, it dwells on its unfinished businesses; it kicks the owner into fears and phobias, obsessions and compulsions, and much more.

It has the power to change the chemistry of our bodies. It consists of two parts. One is the known part, which is present and less mysterious than the second part. It consists of events, thinking, and unfinished works known as conscious and subconscious in popular psychology. While the second part is unknown, which is referred to as the unconscious, the more mysterious, things thought from far past of human imagination, childhood, adolescence, and all other developmental milestones are involved in it.

The first part is available to us at any given time; we can tap it without others’ help. We are aware of it and can respond to it in any instance. However, the second part is beyond taping not because it’s hidden or hard to tap, but rather it is more easily tapped but, we spend no time with this part. Suppose we have time for it. This part is recovered if only we can sit quietly and observe what is going on.

It needs our in-depth involvement and engagement to finish the unfinished. As a professional therapist, counselor, and psychologist, I believe after conducting hundreds of sessions, the only successful therapy, if ever exists, is self-therapy that is staying with yourselves, observing, and analyzing ourselves. The most difficult thing which I have observed in my sessions is that we, as human beings, avoid our encounter with ourselves.

We can watch movies for hours, sports for days, and our melodramas for years; however, we are afraid of taping our unknown part of mind by unleashing its powers when we cannot do anything we want to do. Thinking is a process of our input and a mixture of input and output combined. We think of bulges and groups. We don’t think our thoughts in isolation.

The choice is among groups. If we start thinking about sad events, we select the tragic group of our thinking by our automatic system of an unknown part of the mind. It will be assisted by memory to start from first and the worst sad thought, then gradually it will shift its focus to less worst than like pendulum it will go there and here, from less to more and from more to less and it will continue the moment we scare ourselves. If we choose to think happy thoughts, it will give us all possible choices to think happy thoughts.

The moment we know this, we can train our minds when we feel pure joy. By default, happy thoughts are more nurturing than sad thoughts, which are destructive. Today’s post concludes that we must not allow ourselves to think of negative thoughts even once a day.

Negative thoughts will subside, and something else will take its place. We can change each and everything about us; name, position, education e.t.c. But if we don’t change our mind, the experiences will repeat its self again and again. Be happy adventurers of mind. That’s all..!
